Anglo American Boilermaker Job Requirements

Anglo American Boilermaker job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Grade 12/Matric or equivalent
Boilermaker Trade Test Certificate (or equivalent)
Experience Required:

At least 5 years post apprenticeship experience; with at least 3 years preferably been in the marine or plant maintenance environment or in the medium to heavy industrial working environment

Boilermaker Job Responsibility for Anglo American Job Vacancy

The incumbent will be responsible to carry out boilermaking (maintenance and new equipment) onboard and to improve safety standards by designing or upgrading equipment.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Designs or modifies equipment
Gathers and marks off material
Assembles and installs equipment
Monitors all machinery on vessel by
Detecting reasons for recurring faults and taking corrective action where necessary
Reporting on work order requests
Checking that areas of responsibility on board the vessel conform to Company standards and taking corrective action where necessary
Carrying out inspections and updating safety registers as required
Monitors consumables availability in conjunction with the stores department by maintaining stock levels and forwarding requirements timeously
