Anglo American Commercial Manager job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Financial related degree with professional qualification (CA and/or CIMA preferred)
Postgraduate qualifications within Business Accounting, Finance, Economics
Knowledge & Skills required

5 years’ experience in finance within the mining sector (essential)
3-5 years’ experience in managing a commercial team
Competent in mine financial systems and related legislation
Advanced Computer literacy for role including SAP (advantageous)
Medically fit

Commercial Manager Job Responsibility for Anglo American Job Vacancy

As a Commercial Manager you will play an integral part in the decision making for the Mototolo Mine Complex through fulfilling some of the below key activities.

Provide management with valuable analysis of Operations performance, ensuring key risks and issues and opportunities are highlighted to senior stakeholders on a timely basis.
Drive site financial performance as per OMS and budget, track delivery against plan using effective cost control mechanisms, and challenge outcomes, ensuring budget holders do not exceed allocated spend
Provide an integrated business performance management framework to facilitate management understanding and regular review and challenge
Cascade site financial targets down to work areas on site, for consideration and approval by GM, incorporating BU and Group provided benchmarks and proposing appropriate level of stretch
Manage risk management process on site, consolidating the risk/opportunity register across disciplines as well as review and analyse discipline service strategies to ensure cost/capital is appropriately considered in risk mitigation
Leverage Commercial Manager Community of Practice to share and identify best practices to be applied on site
Proactively identify Commercial-specific challenges and opportunities that new technology could address, seek input from Group subject matter experts who lead solution design, and embed new technologies (e.g., data analytic capabilities) into the on-site Commercial work
Drive performance management and improvement by consolidating and communicating management reporting insights (e.g., discrepancies in Balanced Scorecard, operational headwinds analysis) across disciplines
Identify key value drivers and operational cost drivers across the value chain, to facilitate value-based steering of operational decisions
Own and manage the interfaces to GSS and Commercial CoEs on site, proactively ensuring and improving relevant service delivery in time and at required level of quality (e.g., accuracy of reports)
