Anglo American Diesel Mechanic Job Requirements

Anglo American Diesel Mechanic job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Grade 12 or N3 Technical Matric
N2 Certificate
Qualified /Trade Certificate as Artisan
Valid South African Driver’s license
Medical fitness certificate

Diesel Mechanic Job Responsibility for Anglo American Job Vacancy

To perform maintenance effectively to maximize the availability of equipment to sections at the lowest cost by:

Ensuring maintenance on the wheel dozer and graders (Komatsu, Caterpillars)
Ensuring the changing and replacing of the filter including topping up the Lubes
Being responsible to attending to the breakdowns of the equipment
Being able to interpret hydraulic schematics
Ensuring that the work environment is equipped with the necessary spare parts and defective components are identified, in order to find and implement permanent solutions.
Ensuring maintenance and testing of all equipment / machinery
Ensuring functionality, safety and availability to complete jobs within the specified timeframe and budgetary limits.
Being responsible to collect or supervise the collection of engine oil and other major components when necessary and on the prescribed area, for oil analyses
Being able provide accurate data and prevent equipment breakdown.
Adhering to all health and safety practices requirements and promote good housekeeping to ensure compliance
