Job Description:
The purpose of the ECOHS Coordinator is to maximize the ECOHS performance of the exploration team and support compliance, particularly in the field-based teams and operations. The field-based operations involve high-risk activities such as drilling and transportation, often carried out by contractors. The ECOHS coordinator provides critical professional support on the S&SD front to the technical team on the ground through mentoring, advising, training, inspections, and compliance audits.

Qualifications:
Safety or Environmental Degree/Diploma.
Drill and/or transportation/loading safety qualification would be advantageous.

ECOHS Coordinator Job Responsibility for Anglo American Job Vacancy

Key responsibilities:

Ensure that contractors comply with De Beers Group contractor management and safety standards and guidelines.
Enforce site rules and regulations and drive contractor behavior by having regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, inductions, inspections etc.
Liaise with contractor safety representatives to ensure that project objectives and targets are well communicated and implemented.
Develop basic training material to improve safety performance around drill rigs and other work spaces.
Advise field line management on adherence to SSD legislation and relevant reporting.
Engage with project teams to ascertain daily and weekly project plans in order to be proactive and manage the compliance of SSD risks.
Participate in SSD audits and / or risk assessment.
Environment – support compliance with ISO 14001 and EMP, as well as relevant and applicable De Beers Group standards.
