About Purpose of Position: Engineering Assistant SF Jobs at Anglo American

Job Description:
You will be responsible for:

General labour support, multi – discipline
Good house keeping
Use of Engineering tools
Loading, dispatching material & equipment to work sites
Provides assistance to all trades (Artisans) with activities within and without the team.
Ensure that all required tools, material and spares are available to perform tasks
Help operational employees to maintain equipment in area of responsibility
Accompany artisan when inspecting and completing tasks
Promote safety awareness by reminding team members to follow work procedures and identifying unsafe work practices
Report any safety related issues to the artisan or full time safety rep

Qualifications:
You must have:

Grade 12 Maths and Science – must have these subjects passed
Experience required:

None
Instrumentation experience will be highly advantageous
PMR (Precious Metals Refinery) Engineering experience will be advantageous
Knowledge and Skills:

Computer literacy – advantageous
Valid drivers license code 08 – advantageous
Medical fitness assessments – essential
