Job Description:
As a Fitter, you will be changing tasks and machine settings to minimize the effect of unexpected problems. Your responsibilities will includebut not limited to:

Attending, conducting safety meetings and participating in risk assessments
Attending to breakdowns and emergencies
Ability to do fault finding and read drawings
Ensuring that material, spares and equipment are available as required
Exercise judgement with regards to replacement of components
Complying with environmental requirements
Identify potential conflict situations and minimize the implications of possible conflict

Anglo American Fitter OC Job Requirements

Anglo American Fitter OC job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science or Technical Trade Specific N2
Recognised Fitter or Millwright Trade Test Certificate
Experience:

Completed a 2-3 year learnership programme within the mining / construction environment

Additional information:
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Must be able to work standby duties, work shifts and overtime if required
Valid South African Driver’s License and own transport
Basic Computer literacy Skills
Must have or be able to obtain a Certificate of Fitness
