As a General Accountant Coordinator you will contribute to and manage the successful completion of GSS accounting activities within agreed upon deadlines. The incumbent will also be responsible for facilitating standardization and optimization of current processes.

Some of your responsibilities will include: 

• Team management (coaching, performance management, resource allocation and training) and succession planning.  Participating in setting and achieving team objectives to support a high-performance culture
• Oversee the E2E fixed asset processes to ensure that the all the daily and ad-hoc tasks as per SLA with the BU are well managed. Review that all in scope FA reconciliations are accurately prepared in blackline and SAP which are investigated and cleared timeously
• Developing and implementing controls within both the FA and EMEA teams are required to ensure that we have a strong control framework to support the integrity of data
• Follow appropriate procedures to accurately, consistently and efficiently capture transactions or resolve queries. Ensure that issues and incidents are logged, driving implementation of actions
• Facilitate appropriate stakeholder engagements to manage SLA deliverables
• Drive compliance to audit findings and ensure quality implementation
• Statutory returns submitted timeously
• Accurately managing the EMEA month end, forecasts and year end processes.
• Highly Knowledgeable with the recent amendments and changes of the IFRS standards
• Ensure interfaces have been recorded correctly in the respective general ledgers
• Displays resilience and can function independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collaborate and influence change by being an effective communicator within a Client services environment
• Full responsibility for month-end closure for all fixed asset processes and EMEA
• Manage multiple projects which include transitioning of new work as well as migrations on to SAP systems for both Fixed assets and EMEA
• Drive adherence to safety
