Qualifications:
Undergraduate qualification in a relevant discipline – HR/Data Analytics/Information Management

Desirable: It would be advantageous to have a post graduate qualification in the relevant discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical application and delivery in a role and context of similar complexity.

Technical Knowledge

Experience of working with and leading an HR Data Governance/Data Privacy team within a complex multi-national organisation.
Extensive understanding and experience of HR systems especially SAP ERP and Success Factors.
Experience working with and implementing data retention & data privacy policies, procedures, standards and systems as well as understanding of GDPR regulations.
Extensive understanding and experience with working with data governance and management tools.
Understand tools for creating a culture of purpose–led high performance and change within area.
Track record of interfacing with and influencing key stakeholders and colleagues.
Ability to deal with complex issues and migrate between detail and high level requirements.
Ability to drive change; constantly pushing to new opportunities, approaches, ideas, perspectives, etc.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

HR Data Governance Manager Job Responsibility for Anglo American Job Vacancy

 

Key responsibilities include:

Support the design, development, and ongoing review of the Group HR Technology & Data Governance Roadmap in alignment to the broader HR Services strategy and its principles.
Responsible for the development of the HR Data Governance Strategy and approach with associated policies, procedures and standards, for Group HR, and drive the adoption thereof across the group. Develop a community of practice to share best practices and knowledge in support of the business users.
Responsible for ensuring alignment of the above strategy to the Global Data Management Strategy and providing support and input to the Data Analytics “VOXEL” Programme.
Accountable as the data owner for Group HR data aligned to the principles of the Group data Policy and the Voxel Programme and ensuring ongoing alignment and co-ordination with the function & BU HR Data Owners.
Responsible for engaging with the broader Anglo American organisation to align to the Global HR Data Governance strategy and ensuring the relevant governance structures are in place to support the Data Governance Strategy including data and HR systems governance forum and the HR Tech design authority.
Responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures & standards for Organisational & People data management for the HR Group and to ensure ongoing consistency, alignment and accuracy to these standards across the Group.
Accountable for delivering the Group HR Data retention project and ensuring a sustainable approach to data retention is driven across the group through relevant policies, procedure and standards. Ensuring the implementation of identified technologies to ensure the management of data across our core applications.
Accountable for developing a process for the review of policies, procedures and standards and ensuring alignment to the HR Data Governance Strategy at a Group Level.
Responsible for designing control procedures that ensure HR data integrity and accuracy across the Group in conjunction with both the BU’s, People Services and Internal Audit.
Support the implementation of and ongoing alignment to the job architecture across the Group. This includes working with BU’s on local job mappings and providing subject matter expertise in this area.
Support the Anglo American Group in its compliance with Data Privacy laws and regulations. Be a member of the Anglo American Data Privacy Network, coordinated by the Data Protection Principal, and drive the implementation and monitoring of data privacy compliance across Group HR and develop processes to ensure compliance to Data Privacy Laws and regulations.
Responsible for ensuring alignment with People Services Master Data Management Team around our HR Data Governance Standards, Policies and Procedures.
Responsible for ensuring that changes to core HR processes and master data objects managed through our People and Organisational data management systems are implemented based on the governance framework for the management of these solutions and that policies and procedures associated with this are updated and socialised with key stakeholders
