Job Description:
Set control solutions and instrumentation best practice guidelines
Management of change and software changes, (Changes in the control solution or strategy based on process requirements)
Technical solutions/improvements for problematic control equipment
Control Solution standardisation and strategy
Modifications to the control solution for process problems
Disseminate best practice in instrumentation aspects
Audit high risk and safety critical areas, inclusive of critical control monitoring
Calibration and maintenance of all equipment within the control solution
Training and development of the Instrumentation Team and Service providers
Provide guidance and support to the scada user ( Production team)
Control maintenance budgets for process control section Assist with commissioning for on site projects
Management of the quality assurance plan

Anglo American Instrumentation Engineer Job Requirements

Anglo American Instrumentation Engineer job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Nat. Diploma Instrumentation (Light current) or Degree – BSc Engineering, BEng, BTech and
Registered as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist with ECSA will be advantageous
Qualified Instrument technician
Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge of applicable laws, standards and specifications
Advanced computer literacy
English literate
Good decision making skills
Good management skills
Valid driving licence code 08
Advanced PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) knowledge
Advantageous Siemens PCS7 experience
Work Experience:

7 years work experience in instrumentation
5 years relevant management experience
Project management experience
Extensive Automated Plant experience
