Job Description:
The Internal Controls Supervisor will be positioned to support GSS within the Anglo American group with meeting global and local compliance requirements for internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR). Driving behavioural and attitudinal changes towards controls and compliance

Your key responsibilities will include:

Work with stakeholders across the GSS, including leadership and control owners to implement and monitor financial reporting and operational control standards
Deliver training to GSS colleagues on control standards and operation
Proactively identify the impacts of changes in business processes to financial compliance, and ensure effective mitigation of any associated risks
Provides mentoring and guidance to control operators to support delivery of an effective control environment
Supports the annual AA control self-assessment exercise
Undertake review of colleagues work in the completion of internal control testing and analysis
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of internal control reviews, including tracking of remedial actions
Evaluate control testing work, and ensure alignment with findings and remedial actions amongst stakeholders
Responsible for the timely, complete and accurate delivery of control testing
Actively participates in ad-hoc enhancement and compliance projects across the GSS
Collaborates and consults with the global IT function in support of the management of risks relating to Fraud and Segregation of Duties, as required within testing parameters
Support management within the GSS Risk & Controls team in their relationship with internal andexternal audit teams
Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and senior stakeholders across the GSS and wider AA business
Support the GSS Incident Management and Risk Management processes, as required
As a Team Supervisor lead Internal Control Analysts to complete ongoing review of the effectiveness of the GSS and wider AA internal control environment, including remedial activities

Anglo American Internal Controls Advisor job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Auditing / Finance / Risk
Professional designation (CPA or CA) required
Experience & Knowledge

5+ years’ experience in audit, risk and controls environments
Prior management role within in a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Environment – i.e., within a SOX registrant; or as Audit or Advisory professional to SOX registrants
Specialist knowledge in interpretation and application of SOX/ ICFR standards
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong analytical, project and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs
