Job Description:
Ensure assessment of risks relating to the execution of tasks are completed and mitigation is in place.
To develop and implement short- and medium-term strategies to improve engineering availability in the area under your control.
To ensure adherence to the maintenance plan and according to world class standards
To ensure timeous repairs of breakdowns.
To ensure failures are investigated and actions are put in place to prevent re-occurrence. (Root cause failure analysis).
To ensure legal compliance of all equipment under your control according to the OHS act 85 of 1993.
To fulfill GMR 2.7a legal appointment responsibilities.
Development and review of planned maintenance tasks for equipment to ensure a reliable operation.
Assist production with technical fault finding and FMEA analysis.
Manage cost in line with business objectives.
Evaluation of plant capacity and equipment performance.
Planning, scoping and execution of capital projects.
The entire electrical infrastructure and upkeep thereof will fall within the responsibility of this role including all electrical maintenance and repair activities.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications include:
Bachelor’s Degree/BTech in Electrical Engineering
At least 5 years electrical maintenance execution and project management experience within the manufacturing industry
At least 2 years’ experience in a management role
Criteria and Skills

Ability to display logical thinking and make decisions based on technical facts.
Ability to work under pressure to achieve set deadlines and activities.
Good problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong ability to lead a team.
Decision making skills together with planning and Organisational skills.
Ability to prioritize.
