Job Description:
Business Expectations

Provide leadership and expertise in management of change from a ramp up and new technology perspective. Mogalakwena will be ramping up to a super pit with increased capacity process plant.
Operational Planning

Ensure the new asset/plant business case is collated. From set service strategy point of view the project will yield required results and measures incorporated into right LOW feedback.
Perform a full project simulation with group BI to understand full impact from process flow and constrain analysis.
Ensure the Management of Change (MoC) process/system established in the operation is complying to the requirements set in the Group MoC Standard.
Implement AS&R Maintenance readiness procedure/ matrix in line with the AS&R Maintenance Readiness Framework.
AS&R:

Ensuring new assets and processes are aligned to the AS&R framework for Maintenance Readiness.
Tactic development.
Ensure required resourcing and skill level for technology.
Sub system requirement and impact analysis (Refuelling/ workshop/ change house etc.)
Supply Chain:

Spares strategy
Rotatable strategy
Spares storage and preservation requirements
Coding and stock levels
Production:

Required production output targets.
System impact analysis and operation production support during hand over phase
Implementation/ impact on bonus or incentives
Work Management

Embed critical KPI’s into daily measures to ensure feedback is aligned with the operating model principles.
Ensure implementation and changes from legal and permit perspective is considered when any new project is implemented. This includes exemptions, application of various licenses for the change is completed well in advance.
Ensure relevant procedures, checklists and technical standards are updated and in line with group technical standards for the new plant or equipment.
Ensure that tactics are developed and implemented in advance. This includes operator, technician, and safety officer inspections.
Ensure that resourcing from spares and people perspective is considered and in line with group best practice.
Ensure that operation’s training both from operator and AS&R point of view is imbedded into learning platforms:

Required development of learning material through Learning function.
Technical and other training requirement related to the change is taken into consideration.
Consideration of type of training needs – e.g., Is a simulator environment required.
• Ensure that from a risk perspective, relevant bow tie, JRA and critical controls are in place before technology is adopted.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / Electrical engineering
GCC certificate of competency will be advantageous.
Experience:

At least 10 years’ experience of which 5 years relevant to mining / concentrator plant.
