About Purpose of Position: Master Electrician Jobs at Anglo American

Job Description:
Other duties will be the following:

Ensure effective maintenance of equipment and related machinery to ensure optimal availability towards maximising production and ensure compliance to schedules.
Identify and report defects, equipment failures and time required to do repairs to the Supervisor to enable applicable decision-making, action planning and problem resolution.
Perform high level fault finding, generate alternatives and suggest economically viable alternatives to contribute to optimal equipment availability.
Ensure work is executed as per Operating Model standards and procedures.
Ensure job cards are completed in full and returned on time.
Ensure all toolboxes and tools are kept in good condition.
Ensure proper communication and handover on outstanding tasks between shifts and day shift teams.
Keep abreast with new innovations in equipment and methodologies, evaluate and align them with operational requirements to ensure continuous improvements.
Improve maintenance efficiency by ensuring Artisans and related stakeholders are fully versed with critical equipment, requirements, settings, and SOPs at all times.
Conduct quality checks on work done by Artisans, address deficiencies through training and development, and provide feedback to the Supervisor to ensure Artisan competence.
Provide advice in all maintenance related matters to all concerned parties in a pro-active manner aligned with best practices and within agreed upon timeframes to avoid possible problems and uplift competence base.
Ensure Learners under your supervision adhere to all relevant safety standards and procedures.

Anglo American Master Electrician Job Requirements

Anglo American Master Electrician job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Technical
N3 in Engineering Studies (Electrical)
Qualified as an Electrical Artisan
Code 08 Drivers License Valid Driver’s License
Experience:

3 Years’ experience as an Electrician Artisan
Fault finding
Exposure within the Plant Environment will be an advantage
Siemans PLC, Danforce drive, Siemans drive, Basic loaders, stackers, reclaimers and load up stations experience will be an advantage
