Anglo American Mechanical Engineer Job Requirements Anglo American Mechanical Engineer job requirements are following:- Qualifications: Minimum: BEng/BSc in mechanical, or related, engineering discipline. Preferred: MSc /MEng in a Mechanical engineering discipline. Role-Specific Knowledge and experience: Significant experience of mechanical design. FEA (Finite Element Analysis) experience with CREO, preferably, or another software package. Willingness to assemble and test rig/prototypes in order to validate designs. Relevant CREO design experience. DEM experience would be advantageous.
Mechanical Engineer Job Responsibility for Anglo American Job Vacancy The Mechanical Engineer will design, develop and implement mechanical systems and sub-systems from concept to production. Key responsibilities will include: Use relevant tools and techniques for generating and communicating concepts of proposed mechanical solutions to team members and stakeholders. Produce appropriate technical specifications based upon required criteria of system/product (ie process, environmental, financial safety). Specify suitable components and systems (procured or manufactured) as required. Use 3D CAD package (such as CREO) to model parts and assemblies of mechanical systems, displaying good-practice modelling principles. Build and test designs, using relevant prototyping/manufacturing techniques to validate applicability. Create and lead experiments, where suitable, providing recommendations for end-product. Develop products that satisfy internal company standards and meet required safety and environmental standards (such as ISO 18801, ISO 14001). Document designs, experiments, user manuals, safety documentation, to a high-standard for various stakeholders. Identify and communicate areas of risk from a mechanical standpoint.
