The role is responsible to control the plant within the technical recipe defined, ensure technical audit of the plant is conducted to required standards, provide technical support to the Plant Technical Manager of plant operations and to ensure that recommendations as to plant improvement are considered in the “recipe” review process

• Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees in the section.
• Effective technical operation of the plant.
• Identifying new methods to improve the section’s technical process.
• Ensure quality assurance procedures and techniques are maintained.
• Manage metallurgical talent assigned to technical function in own area.
• Recommend technical corrective action to operation’s production personnel.
• Monitor, Trend, Interpret, and Report plant Key Process Parameters for discussion with central technical structure.
• Identify ongoing potential areas for plant process improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operation problems within plant operating “recipe”.
• Analysis completed in time within agreed standards and adherence to SLA.
• Ensuring policies, standards and procedures are adhered to.
• Support the overall operational management of the plant.
