Job Description:
Venetia Mine requires the services of a Mine Closure and Rehabilitation Coordinator responsible to lead a step change in rehabilitation and closure performance by developing the organization’s capability to manage risks and harness opportunities.

Successful concurrent rehabilitation programs occur when activities are fully integrated into the various operational planning functions. This role needs to champion and deliver a step change improvement in rehabilitation performance through integration into the Building Forever Program. The role will also provide strategic guidance, specialist advice and associated tools, processes and methodologies to implement mine closure and rehabilitation management for Venetia Mine in line with De Beers Group and statutory requirements.

Anglo American Mine Closure and Rehabilitation Coordinator job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification) in a relevant technical discipline (e.g. Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science).
A proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.
5 years in mining environment in the field of rehabilitation and closure processes and practices
At least three years’ experience in economics, cost management and budgeting processes
Two (2) years’ experience in resource and project management
Computer literacy – MS Office Suite (Knowledge of Isometrix or a similar system would be an added advantage)
Code 08/EB Driver’s License

Mine Closure and Rehabilitation Coordinator Job Responsibility for Anglo American Job Vacancy

KEY TASKS

Establish, implement and maintain rehabilitation objectives and management strategies aligned with the mine’s strategic business plan.
Development and amendment of closure and rehabilitation design criteria, plans and schedules.
Co-ordination and facilitation of the Venetia Mine Strategic Preliminary Closure Plan and associated updates/revisions in line with legal and organisational requirements e.g. Building Forever, Mine Closure Standard, Social Way etc.
Co-ordinate and manage annual updates to closure and rehabilitation related documents, studies and reports as determined by legal and other requirements.
Assist in implementation of the plan and conducting the required inspections to ensure that standards are maintained.
Ensuring the required documentation is up to date and risk assessments with the involvement of stakeholders are conducted.
Manage implementation of concurrent rehabilitation in line with the Annual Rehabilitation Plan and agreed criteria.
Prepare annual and five-year rehabilitation budgets and life of mine cash flows for approval, forecasting and controlled expenditure.
Building relationships across the De Beers pipeline by sharing business information, knowledge and Mine Closure and Rehabilitation requirements.
Contribute to building a robust safety culture at Venetia site.
