About Purpose of Position: Operational Planning Advisor Jobs at Anglo American

Job Description:
As an Operational Planning Advisor, you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include:

Facilitates the process of identification, prioritization and implementation of Sishen improvement projects, based on sound Commercial principles.
Conduct analysis required to support the Commercial planning and forecasting process. As well as provide sufficient analysis for Operational managers to make critical decisions about potential business benefits and trade-off for a range of initiatives.
Assist with educating line in key commercial trends and analytical indicators, particularly with respect to analyse and improve through coaching.
Assist with developing training material customized for local circumstances yet utilize concepts and material consistent with the Anglo OM model (specifically operational planning and Set Expenditure Schedule).
Support the Commercial management (i.e., Commercial Manager, Senior specialists and commercial analysts) in terms of data analysis, trending, interpretation of data and reporting on findings.
Adhere to all health and safety practices requirements and promote good housekeeping to ensure compliance and an environment where team members can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.

Anglo American Operational Planning Advisor Job Requirements

Anglo American Operational Planning Advisor job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Relevant Tertiary qualification- minimum of a B. Tech or Bachelor’s degree. (Commercial, industrial engineering, Data specialist / Information Management, etc.)
Valid South African Driver’s License (light vehicle)
Qualification/certification in the following would be advantageous: Data Analytics
Computer literacy (MS Office)
Medical Fitness Certificate
Experience:

Experience in the Data Analytics, Data sciences, Information Management, Commercial, Mining, Process or Maintenance Engineering field within the Mining Industry for at least 2-3 years’ experience
Experience in Data Analysis, Management Accounting, Industrial process management experience or a related field
Commercial Analytics exposure or experience will be advantageous.
Basic knowledge of applicable business communication
