Anglo American Pit Superintendent Job Requirements Anglo American Pit Superintendent job requirements are following:- Qualifications: You will be required to have: BSc (mining) or National Diploma in Metalliferous Mining. Mine Overseer Certificate will be advantageous. Open Cast Blasting Ticket /Rock Breaking Certificate Mine manager certificate will be advantageous Knowledge, skills, and experience required: 4 years open pit experience of loading and hauling. Certified competent according to the MHSA and regulations, (section 2.9.2).
Pit Superintendent Job Responsibility for Anglo American Job Vacancy The focus areas for this role will be to: Liaise with the Dispatch, Pit Foremen and Operations manager on loading and hauling activities, contingency planning in terms of blasting activities. Assists during breakdowns or emergencies to co-ordinate support from other disciplines. Control shift rosters, attendance implications, training and leave schedules to ensure team is adequately resourced. Ensure that equipment use is to best practice and initiate and monitor improvements projects and provide technical advice on Business Area operations. Develop a trusting and mutual respect relationship with internal and external service suppliers and effective implementation and administration of necessary systems. Support and participate in the training and development requirements of employees and advise employees on career opportunities and the requirements to achieve personal growth. Implement and maintain applicable Safety Standards, Regulations, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Standards and review safety, injury, hazard, risk and incident reports and introduce a plan of action. Establish risk assessments for abnormal work requirements which fall outside of standard procedures This role is in the Mining Department at a Band 6 level reporting to the Section Manager.
