Anglo American Practitioner: Operations Job Requirements

Anglo American Practitioner: Operations job requirements are following:-

Bachelor’s degree level, preferably in business and/or supply chain disciplines.
Demonstrable logistics/warehousing management experience and success in large operations.
Role-Specific Knowledge and experience:

SAP proficient.
Proven experience in delivering results in managing logistics and warehousing in an operational environment.
Purchasing knowledge/background would be advantageous.
Customs knowledge / background would be advantageous.
Desirable: experience in a marine environment.

Practitioner: Operations Job Responsibility for Anglo American Job Vacancy

The Practitioner: Operations will enable integrated planning, delivery, monitoring, and feedback regarding all stakeholders, as well as ensure governance within the Supply Chain service.

Key responsibilities will include:

Manage and control of Operations at the Supply Chain Centre inclusive of new goods delivered by suppliers, repairs from Port Nolloth, the Cape Town harbor and suppliers and backload containers from Port Nolloth and/or the Cape Town harbor.
Manage and control the DBGS Inventory at the various Cape Town storage locations, ensuring the adoption and maintenance of the requisite MRP management principles.
Manage (SAP) receipting (referred to as data capturing) which triggers payment to the DBGS suppliers, and which allows for picking and dispatch to the customers.
Manage picking and dispatch, whether on schedule or on an emergency basis to all customers.
Manage the safety and storage of equipment, maintain order in the Centre’s yard post goods receipt and prior to picking and dispatch and optimize warehousing space and to incorporate an all-inclusive Warehouse Management Program.
Develop, review and maintain company policies to ensure implementation with appropriate departmental procedures, operating procedures and systems according to organizational objectives.
Manage and coordinate review processes to ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures and standards.
Manage contracts to ensure adherence to client, organizational and contractual requirements.
Ensure a basic understanding of customs implications and change of ownership implications by the receiving and dispatch staff in order to mitigate risks to DBGS and/or its customers.
