Job Description:
The Project Controls Manager will provide the tools and systems necessary to manage effectively and proactively, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects throughout the organization. Services include planning cost and schedule (work breakdown structure) metrics and tools, collecting performance data (installed quantities, expended labour hours, and other progress measurements for direct hire and subcontract work), tracking data (daily cost compilation and monitoring), analysing (earned value, productivity and risk analyses), and reporting.

You will also identify and track all changes or potential changes to the project scope, ensuring estimates of cost changes and schedule impact are given visibility with the business and project teams. You will be responsible for integrating cost and schedule data and reporting with the company’s accounting and management information systems to facilitate meeting company performance and financial goals.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Pursue and drive a culture of zero harm and ensure all aspects of the work are completed in adherence to the De Beers’ Safety, Health, Security and Environmental standards and systems.
To ensure accurate bills of quantities for each project/ scope of work and close liaison with engineering and procurement to ensure that scope is accurately awarded to contractors.
Ensure best Practice and Knowledge Management
Effective People Management
Manage the overall cost analysis function in respect of all projects from simple to major complex and strategic projects at WPRSA.
Assume overall responsibility for preparation, quality and accuracy of project cost and schedule reports.
Establish processes to ensure liaison with project team on all matters relating to cost control is maintained.
Manage subordinate cost analysis staff.

Anglo American Project Controls Manager job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:

Grade 12
Qualification in Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management and / or B. Com / B.-Tech in Cost and Management Accounting.
Post Graduate Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting / equivalent (advantageous)
Qualification in Project Management (Advantageous)
Required Experience:

Minimum of 8 years knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Supervisory,
Project management
Technical experience in a large construction / Mining Company
Project controls management
Financial accounting.
