Job Description:
Duties and tasks include:

Drive and lead new plant extensions and the installation of equipment
Responsible for new plant service installations and machine functionality upgrades
Support and execute all building and process improvement related projects
Implement new machine and process automation projects
Compilation of budget and execution of capital projects (On time)
Conduct regular cash flow forecasts and project progress presentations
Complete all project administrative related functions such as: scoping and tender for projects, supplier negotiations, loading of orders, budget management, compile contactor safety packs as per Health and Safety standards, etc.
Daily and long-term management of contractors
Take ownership of the full project cycle from project inception till commissioning and asset transfer stages
Ensure compliance with company policy and statutory requirements
Maintain world class project management standards that drives a high performance culture within the Company

Anglo American Project Engineer job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Qualifications and experience

Must hold a BEng Degree / BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering
3-5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment in the same or similar role
Additional project management related qualification would be advantageous
Experience using CAD Software
Criteria and Skills

Must have a high degree of technical acumen
Excellent understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic designs
Must be able to read / interpret, mechanical and construction drawings
Ability to draft layout and construction drawings with CAD software
Excellent problem-solving skills (Six sigma exposure advantageous)
Previous project management experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work independently while applying the available resources
Must be able to thrive in a highly pressurized environment
Ability to work with in a multi-disciplinary team
Excellent application of the MS suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Projects)
Must be able to generate and present project presentations with ease to all key stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to influence and persuade key stakeholders on new innovative project
