Job Description:
The Protection Services Officer Specialized role is a specialist position that conduct criminal and departmental investigations within Anglo American Platinum.

Personal risk is a factor in the role due to criminal investigations, armed response, VIP – and product escorts and Counter Industrial Action situations.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

You will be expected to apply best practices in investigative techniques in order to identify and apprehend suspects, recover losses and advise on the minimization breaches of security.
You will be responsible for supervising and developing the team of Protection Services members, within an Anglo American Platinum Operation to ensure that they perform their duties and that employees and assets are protected within the law. Investigation support and emergency protection duties will be part of the activities of this role.
Ensure that all CIA procedures are understood and drills attended.
Ensure that safety and legal standards are adhered to in performing protection duties.
Ensure that operating standards and procedures are up to date and understood by the team.
Assist during emergencies and injuries to employees and compile accurate security reports including incident and investigation reports.
This role is at our Operations at a C4 level reporting to the Protection Services Senior Superintendent.

Anglo American PS Officer Specialised Job Requirements

Anglo American PS Officer Specialised job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Grade 12
Certificate in Investigation /Policing/Security/Law (RPL can be applied to recognize skills obtained through short courses and experience)
Registered with PSIRA Grade B
Applicable firearm Unit Standard qualifications
Armed response qualification
Tactical Unit Standard Qualification
Experience

Minimum 4 years experience in Security or equivalent environment of which 2 years should be in Investigation/Intelligence/Logistics and or Surveillance
2 years experience in supervisory position
CCTV surveillance systems and control room experience
