About Purpose of Position: Section Manager Discipline Planning Jobs at Anglo American

Job Description:
As a Section Manager Discipline Planning, you will be responsible for:

Consistently applying Safety and Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
Collect and summarise specific risks within working area and implement plans/system to avoid these risks.
Develop strategy implementation details (tactics and work packages) to support safe and effective work management.
Define discipline inputs (work package details) to Operating Master Schedule.
Provide input into the Annual (and 5 year) budgeting process by ensuring maintenance plans are accurate (Error Report corrections). Compile the D200 (Scheduled Downtime) forecast to enable the budget process.
Develop and adopt measures for work planning, Scheduling and Resourcing quality within the discipline
Intervene to improve work planning measures that are not stable or capable.
Drive delivery and sustainability activities as relevant to discipline as set out in the Life of Asset Plan to improve sustainability performance over time.
Ensure SAP governance protocols are in place and applied.
Participate in stakeholder engagements as relevant to discipline and act consistently with sustainability expectations.
Support the development of, and ultimately implement, a purpose-led, high-performing culture within the teams that is aligned with the company values, is inclusive and promotes diversity.
Implement management processes for employee and contractor management within work area.
Manage compliance of the teams within work area with external (legislative, regulatory, permitting) local requirements as a minimum level of site performance.
Adhere to Anglo American compliance requirements and ensure compliance of teams within work area.
Conduct investigation of incidents (safety, health, environmental and social) within work area.

Anglo American Section Manager Discipline Planning Job Requirements

Anglo American Section Manager Discipline Planning job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Grade 12.
Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Degree.
Asset Management program will be advantageous.
Valid South African Driver’s Licence.
Experience required:

5 plus years’ Operational experience within the Planning and Plant environment.
Previous experience in Mining will be advantageous.
Working knowledge and experience of SAP PM.
