Anglo American Security Manager Job Requirements

Anglo American Security Manager job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Grade 12, N3 or relevant NQF level 4 qualification.
Bachelor’s Degree in Security or Risk Management or recognised equivalent.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in the security discipline, of which five (5) years should have been at senior management level within the diamond mining security environment.
A comprehensive understanding of the security function gained through formal education and complemented with practical experience as a security professional.
A sound understanding and skills in terms of business focused security solutions that are pragmatic and innovative.
A thorough understanding of mining and processing environments that enables and supports the proactive identification of vulnerabilities that could be exploited by those with criminal intent.
Good knowledge and understanding of methodologies relating to physical, electronic and information security, and other security technologies.
Extensive experience in conducting forensic investigations and managing and analysing electronic case management databases.
Specialist experience in research of organised crime groupings, information gathering and analysis processes and analysis and interrogation of systems data.
Specialist experience in understanding and recognising criminal incident behaviour, suspect profiling and identification of organised crime threats.
Experience in operating a variety of industry standard analytical tools for effective analyses of data.
Been accountable for managing departmental budgets and conducted business planning process and resource allocation.
A proven record of building relationships and establishing commitment across a range of stakeholders, internal and external to the organisation.
Led and motivated teams of people in a commercial environment and had inputs into their personal and career development through coaching and mentoring.
Managed and implemented new ways of working and established effectiveness improvements.
SAPS firearm competency will be advantageous.
Registered with PSIRA Grade A.
Valid EB/Code 8 Drivers License.

Security Manager Job Responsibility for Anglo American Job Vacancy

KEY RESULTS AREAS:

Ensuring compliance with all legal, environmental, occupational health and safety, security and risk management standards and leading practices.
Ensuring that all security risks have been identified, treated and mitigated to an acceptable level.
Advising Mine management on the implementation of security operational plans within the Mine’s broader business plans.
Monitoring security indicators and trends in the organisation and identifying emerging risks within the Venetia operations and surrounding communities.
Conducting ongoing assessments of security procedures and practices to enable effective mitigation of potential losses.
Ensuring the effective deployment, management and utilisation of security systems and technology to minimize risk.
Analysing data from all internal and external sources to identify trends, behavioural patterns, anomalies and efficiency improvement opportunities using specialist software to correlate variables and establish linkages between multiple data types and sources.
Ensuring that effective contingency plans are in place to prepare for and timeously respond and recover from emergency and crisis situations.
Establishing and maintaining a fully functional Security information gathering and integration function to co-ordinate all local information collection, analysis and dissemination activities.
Developing and maintaining internal and external networks and contacts e.g. LEA, communities, employees etc. for information gathering.
Coordinating and managing the investigation of all on-site crime related incidents, ensuring adherence to the company policy and standards and that they are conducted within the required legal and ethical parameters.
Supervising and monitoring the short-term activities and performance and development of direct reports.
Provide people leadership within the department by managing workload, setting output objectives, assigning tasks, monitoring the quality of output and taking corrective action as necessary to ensure compliance with set performance standards.
Coaching employees on Loss Prevention and Diamond Control Strategies.
Defining capital and budgetary requirements and manage departmental budget for the achievement of departmental activities and objectives.
Communicating and driving awareness strategies within the business to ensure loss prevention goals are embedded within the organization.
