About Purpose of Position: SED Officer Jobs at Anglo American

Job Description:
As an SED Officer, you will be responsible for the following:

Investigate and identify possible projects in line with the Socio-Economic Development Plan of Sishen Mine.
Conduct Front End loading to ensure sustainability.
Implement Projects according to Social Project Portfolio to ensure target social spent.
Conduct frequent onsite inspections during implementation to ensure deviations are rectified timeously.
Post-monitory established projects to ensure long-term sustainability.
Arrange training for projects members if and when required.
Apply project management systems through SED practices & governance.
Support team members on SED governance.
Adhere to projects Budget in preventing overspent.
Continuously engage with stakeholders on potential partnerships
Provide quality, informative reports monthly, quarterly to management decision making.
Support financial and cost management initiatives, including reporting and budgeting to ensure cost efficiencies are identified and are in place.
Provide technical expert advice and moral support to the team members to contribute to the successful completion of projects.
Ensure sound communication exist between all relevant role players to establish and maintain interfaces, as well as addressing all needs.
Provide suppliers and contractors with logistical support where necessary to ensure smooth integration and achievements of project deadlines.
Provide general administration support services to assist in operational delivery.

Anglo American SED Officer Job Requirements

Anglo American SED Officer job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Grade 12 Certificate
Diploma/Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent NQF level 7
Valid South African Drivers Licence
Experience:

Knowledge of Project Management
Knowledge of BBBEE, budgeting, supply chain processes and adherence to budget.
Production of relevant documentation, approvals and sign-offs
Risk and impact management and tracking of critical controls execution.
Safety, health and environmental compliance; permitting requirements and AASW compliance.
