About Purpose of Position: Shift Supervisor DMS Crushing Jobs at Anglo American

Job Description:
As a Shift Supervisor DMS Crushing you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Monitoring & controlling of all plant crushing processes for the assurance of good product quality.
Conduct continuous inspections on the crusher to ensure proper functionality.
Do over inspections on work being done in the plant.
Liaise with various stakeholder for purposes of resolving problem experienced at the crusher.
Ensure that settings (variables) are adjusted according to specifications.
Keep record of work done on shift and prepare and review reports for shift handovers to ensure target progress and system progress information is relayed to next shift for purposes of production and safety.
Undertake to regular planning for production, scheduled maintenance and resources to minimise delays in production.
Effective alternative ways in running the plant efficiently during certain breakdowns are sought
Monitoring & controlling of the plant processes & equipment performance.
Assist in the development of contingency plans that will enable production to maintain in the event of unforeseen failures, delays or circumstances.
Maintenance/preparation activities are coordinated in a way that will ensure minimum production losses and safe practices.
Ensure optimum utilisation of plant equipment through inspections, monitoring & coordination of activities involving the utilisation of equipment.
Establish and maintain strong working relations with maintenance.
Contribute to cost saving within own section.
Manage and monitor overtime of employees in section within required limits and achieve savings in this regard.

Anglo American Shift Supervisor DMS Crushing job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Grade 12
NQF level 4 Equivalent to Matric
Driver’s License Code B (Light Vehicle)
Experience

3 – 5 years Plant Production experience on the required level immediately below Supervisor level (eg JIG & DMS Beneficiation Plant on Band 8 or P3 level/JIG & DMS Crushing Plant on P4 or H-role level).
