About Purpose of Position: Shift Supervisor Jobs at Anglo American

Job Description:
As a Shift Supervisor, your responsibilities will include the following:

Managing plant operation processes and to maximise equipment utilisation for quality products in a cost effective manner.
To implement and streamline new working procedures and processes to ensure better productivity.
Doing over inspections on work being done in the plant.
Liaising with various stakeholders for purposes of resolving problems.
Undertaking to regular planning for production, scheduled maintenance and resources to minimise delays in production.
Monitoring & controlling of the plant processes & equipment performance.
Assisting in the development of contingency plans that will enable production to maintain in the event of unforeseen failures, delays or circumstances.
Maintenance/preparation activities are coordinated in a way that will ensure minimum production losses and safe practices.
Establishing and maintain strong working relations with maintenance.
Enforcing discipline and high performance of teams through the relevant ER/HR procedures and interventions.
Managing Plant and Union relations
Managing the time and attendance and leave planning of immediate team.
Adhering to all Health and safety practices requirements and promote good housekeeping to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:
You will need to have the following:

Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Technical Certificate
Valid South African Driver’s license
MQA level 2 Processing Certificate advantageous
