About Purpose of Position: Solutions Specialist Jobs at Anglo American

Job Description:
As a SAP FI/ CO Solutions Specialistyou will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Assist super users with daily system and process queries that requires in-depth SAP knowledge / investigation.
Filter incidents / problems logged before submission to AMS
Design (additional) reports, forms and interfaces (part of BRD process)
Design and maintain interfaces: between SAP FI/CO and feeder systems, e.g. Quantum, bank EDI etc
Consulting services: e.g. involvement in new processes or development of operational procedures / controls / reports / changes to current functionality / SAP module integration
Ad hoc requests: e.g. extraction of information for Auditors; assistance during month end
Review of the SAP and Blackline environment to ensure system controls are in place; integrity of master data can be relied on and transactions are executed in line with the system design and operational procedures developed
Report of findings and take of corrective action
Provide on the job training / present specific training modules
Maintain and develop training documentation
Provide e-learning services
Review business requirement definition documentation
Arrange for testing of solutions and obtain sign-off from users / BPOs
Ensure effective knowledge transfer to users / training
Assess related risks, notification and approval of downtime to their users
User and scope identification (including steps and scenarios)
Drive user testing across the BU Functions, status updates, defect resolution with the support of the central test coordinator
Arrange validity checks and Business Process Owner sign-off
Implement and enforce procedures to be followed in the event of availability of systems being disrupted.
GRC Maintenance
Identify and request new roles
Monitor trends and initiate corrective action (include functional analysis of system if required)
Facilitate ongoing client needs analysis
Facilitate improvement and automation in both SAP and Blackline
Drive SAP Fiori adoption
Drive Blackline and Standards adoption: Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Variance Analysis, Journals and Task Management
Assist in the development of operational procedures and SOPs
Participate in Anglo forums representing KIO regarding the design of SAP R/3 system
Ensure that proper escalation procedures are followed
Facilitate process between Users and Anglo support structures
Manage relationship with customer (Kumba users)

Qualifications:
Relevant Finance related Qualification
SAP FI Certification
Experience

5-10 years SAP FI/CO support/consulting and/or project experience (including experience in SAP FI/CO configuration)
Accounting background
Knowledge of Blackline would be an advantage
