About Purpose of Position: Supplier Quality Engineer Jobs at Anglo American

Job Description:
Provide the link between Operations, Quality department, Procurement and Supplier
Driving supplier quality performance, including new product development and product quality improvement
Work with suppliers to develop and implement best practices ensuring the supplier meets all regulatory and company requirements
Carry out supplier validation audits, with supplier support and supplier advanced product quality planning (APQP)
Support new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards
Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of correction actions of supplier quality issues
Evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain
Support the Quality Manager to monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance
Assist with first off sample approvals
Undertake special projects as required
Produce written reports and make presentations
Maintaining supplier quality records
Maintaining relationships with suppliers
Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
Develop and maintain incoming inspection and Quality assurance criteria
Communicate inspection requirements with Quality team
Maintain Supplier Quality Manual

Anglo American Supplier Quality Engineer Job Requirements

Anglo American Supplier Quality Engineer job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
Required qualifications include:
Bachelor’s Degree or BTech in Quality, Mechanical, Industrial, Physics, or Metallurgy
ISO9001 or TS16949 Certificate (QMS and auditing) will be desirable
Six Sigma Green Belt qualification in problem solving and proven record of utilisation of this qualification will be advantageous
Minimum 5 years practical experience in a Quality engineering or QA/QC role, of which 2 or more years focused on supplier quality
Experience in dealing with customers and suppliers
