About Purpose of Position: Unclaimed Benefits Advisor Jobs at Anglo American

Job Description:
In the scope of work, the Unclaimed Benefits Advisor will work closely with the Benefits Specialist to use the Policy guidelines to ensure the reduction in the Unclaimed Benefits book in the context of Anglo-American Platinum’s strategy and operating environment. The key activities of this role are to:

Apply all identified process standards in the administration workflow of Trace, verifications, collation of documentation for the payment, by the Fund Administrator, to the correct Member or beneficiary.
Manage all incoming queries and calls received by former employees/ and or their beneficiaries and Third parties such as Attorneys.
Manage the unclaimed benefits, wages and deduction in arrears matters.
Direct matters appropriately to the Fund Administrators to investigate and advise the Employer on outcomes of benefits to be claimed and matters that do not have a claim.
Ensure all FSCA and Pension Fund Adjudicator enquiries are attended to timeously; investigated and resolved within the stipulated date provided by the Regulator.
Direct matters to the Fund Administrators, identified as high priority in the trace strategy.
Execute all administrative functions for an effective book management.
Manage all Data information and files from the Fund administrators, tracers and internal departments for management and reporting.
Manage the Terminations files monthly with the Fund administrator and our Data Analytics team to ensure no increase in unclaimed benefits.
Maintain Legislative and Policy compliance requirements regarding Pension Funds Act and FSCA, POPIA and our Data Protection Policy.
Ensure the unclaimed benefits policy and procedure is revised with process changes as they arise in consultation with the Benefits Specialist.

Qualifications:
A relevant Diploma/ BCom degree
Experience:

2-3 years working experience.
Experience working with Tracers will be an added advantage.
Proficient in data analysis, SAP and advanced Excel
Proficient query resolution: Queries incoming from former employees, their beneficiaries, Attorneys and other third parties, both telephonic and written correspondence such as summons, final demand letters.
Proficient in handling high call volumes and email enquiries
Proficient in communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Proficient with organising and planning skills
Good analytical and diagnosis skills
Proficient with negotiation skills
Proficient in applying business improvement techniques and standards
Advanced computer skills
