About Purpose of Position: Verification Advisor Jobs at Anglo American

Job Description:
Implement and monitor group Assurance programs for the assigned sites, including regulatory compliance and permitting.
Participate in audits and inspections as required (level of involvement and responsibility will vary): 1) Level 1 audits and inspections – lead and coordinate 2) Level 2 or 3 cross audit initiatives – participate and support as required.
Implement Auditing/Inspection training program to build site capabilities following group guidelines. Monitor competency of trained personnel.
Facilitate the use of SHE digital platform to collect and analyze assurance findings.
Monitor Assurance KPIs for the assigned site through establishment of an effective operating rhythm with key stakeholders.
Deliver self-assessments to Assurance programs to guarantee program consistency and adherence to group instructions.
Provide assurance on corrective/preventive actions, report on ‘repeated’ findings to site leadership team including overdue findings.
Obtain and Maintain external SHE certification as required by business and customers.
Support the implementation of leading safety and sustainable development practice across process operations in Anglo American.
Provide input on effective corrective actions needed to mitigate issues identified in audits.
Coach line on best ways to do audits and identify ways to improve efficacy/reduce need for audits.
Support line verification activities resulting from audits.
Drive the process to obtain and retain appropriate external certificates.
Introduce new technology to auditing/assurance approach, and ways to be more efficient and effective.
Provide input to monitoring approach to ensure as efficient as possible.

Anglo American Verification Advisor job requirements are following:-

Qualifications:
You must have:

Essential requirement: educated to a graduate level (Bachelors degree or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (such as sciences, engineering or SHE related careers).
Advantageous: ISO 45001, 14001, 9001 Lead Auditor
Experience required:

5 to 7 years relevant experience
Advanced understanding of ISO certification requirements (E.g. 14001, 45001, 9001 etc.)
Detailed understanding of the Platinum value chain and Safety, Health and Environment trends and risks
Demonstrated experience in a safety position within a technical environment, including the coordination of knowledge sharing with broader stakeholders
Demonstrated experience working in a safety investigation position at process operation or BU level
Track record of interfacing with and influencing colleagues at all levels and coordinating disciplines relevant to safety
An understanding of the operational aspects associated with processing operations
Technical skills:

Proficient in conducting assurance and audits programms
Advanced level of knowledge of the verification systems i.e. Isometrix

Must be fluent in English.
Ability to speak additional languages is desirable.
Working on operational mine sites (both open pit and underground) will be required. This may involve activities of a physical nature in a typical mine environment (for example noise, vibration, heat, small spaces, reduced visibility).
